Each project is unique, and requires its own individual approach, however, the folllowing is a guideline of the various stages that are typically undertaken whilst working on a project.
Initial consultation
Introduction of Lux Lucis to the project team
The method of appointment, either for a fee or 'design with supply' is discussed and agreed
The clients requirements and the boundaries of Lux Lucis' involvement is discussed and approved
Site information is gathered, including architects drawings, photographs, sketches and notes
Proposals
Preliminary proposals are developed and then presented to the client and the project team, and would typically include: basic lighting layout and schedule; an indication of the circuitry and electrical requirements; proposals for the type of control system if necessary; outline costs of all lighting and control equipment
Lighting calculations and/or demonstrations are undertaken if required
The proposals are amended and developed further
The refined lighting schemes are presented to the client and project team
Further amendments are made as necessary
Implementation
When the scheme is approved the information is collated for tender or implementation
Site supervision is provided, liaising with the contractors as necessary
Upon completion of the installation, the scheme is focussed and control systems commissioned to the satisfaction of the client
Aftercare
A lighting maintenance manual and basic training can be provided to the client to ensure the integrity of the original lighting scheme is maintained
Attendance and assistance in refocussing during the maintenance schedule can be discussed and arranged
